Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers

Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers

One of the distinguishing features of the Center for Wound Care of Butler Memorial Hospital is its two hyperbaric oxygen chambers. These pressurized chambers provide hyperbaric oxygen therapy for patients with chronic wounds. During this treatment, wounds are exposed to 100 percent oxygen to allow for maximum healing.

The Center for Wound Care is one of the only facilities in the area to offer this advanced technology. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy helps treat many types of wounds including diabetic leg and foot wounds and ulcers, chronic bone infections, crush injuries, compromised skin grafts, burns and traumatic or surgical wounds.
